What does the survey involve?

To participate in this annual survey, you simply need to register.

Once registered, and when the time comes to complete the survey questionnaire, we will send you the required documentation either via an email (if completing the survey online) or in the traditional paper format. You will have chosen your preferred method during registration. Either way, your confidentiality is assured.

There are three sections in the survey:

Part 1: General information about your organisation
Part 2: Your remuneration practices
Part 3: Specific remuneration rates and other benefits.

The survey questionnaire must be completed and returned to us by Thursday 1st September.

Participant reports will be available from Monday 3rd October - these will be forwarded to you automatically.


Participant’s report

As a survey participant, you will receive:

Remuneration reports that reflect the salaries/wage rates and benefits by locations,
   revenue bandings and industry types, for the positions for which you provide data.

Remuneration summaries for all the positions in a section for which you provide data.

Individual comparisons reflecting your position data with the national remuneration

• Benchmark position descriptions in all positions for which you provide data.

• An authoritative review of the current state of the New Zealand economy and labour
   market.

How much will it cost?

Survey participants pay less than one third the price to be paid by non-participants who later choose to buy a report.

Please note: Non-members of a regional employers association will NOT be able to access reports other than those participated in.

There is a maximum fee for contributors.

MEMBERS (of a regional employers association)
$20 per position + GST
$500 maximum + GST
NON-MEMBERS
$30 per position + GST
$750 maximum + GST

Key dates

Registration open Friday 1st July
Survey benchmark date Friday 29th July
Return questionnaire before Thursday 1st September
Reports available Monday 3rd October

Registration

Registrations to participate in the 2011 survey have closed.  
Survey reports are expected to be available from the 10th October 2011.
