CA06 Typist/Word Processing Operator
 
Reports to: Office Manager/Supervisor, Manager

Main objectives: Transcribes to typewritten form, letters, reports, documents, accounts and other material from written or printed sources, recordings on dictating machine and other sources.

Typical functions and responsibilities:
  • Plan layouts in accordance with instructions or using own judgement.
  • Type a variety of documents.
  • Check typewritten work for correctness.
  • Type from audio equipment.
  • Operate a fax machine and/or telex machine
  • Use electric or electronic typewriter.
  • Operate a word processor.
  • Do limited, routine clerical work.

Typical qualifications and experience: Certificate in typing skills and experience in office practice.
