CA02 Office Supervisor
 
Reports to: Office Manager, Financial Manager or Accountant

Supervises: Clerical staff

Main objectives: Coordinate office, service and related activities, including development and supervising programmes for the optimum utilisation of services and equipment.

Typical functions and responsibilities:
  • Supervise central office services, including word processing, reception, filing, addressing and message delivery.
  • Negotiate the purchase of office supplies and equipment and supervise their receipt and shipment.
  • Issue appropriate purchase requisitions and negotiate contracts for maintenance of office equipment.
  • Supervise the management and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities.
  • Oversee the employment and induction of word processor operators, secretary, clerical and other office personnel.
  • Supervise data entry operators and accounts clerks in the preparation of accounts ledgers, stock records and sales statistics.

Typical qualifications and experience: People handling skills and proven commercial and administrative ability.
